Secondly: to improve the functionality and aesthetics of the transportation network along Halsey, Sandy and NE 223rd. Urban Renewal provides necessary funds for the City to pursue improvement projects and potential partnerships. In addition, Urban Renewal importantly creates incentives for developers to invest in the community. The Open House will provide an opportunity to learn more about the details of urban renewal as a community development tool and the specific projects being considered by the advisory committee for the Urban Renewal Area.
